The Carp Complex is a complex of lakes situated a stones throw from the River Moselle in the Northeastern region of France.

Emotion Lake

Emotion Lake is approximately 40 acres in size, making it the second largest lake on the complex. Emotion Lake has 18 swims (two doubles) and can comfortably accommodate 16 anglers per week. We feel this is an ideal venue for anglers who want a good chance of bites during their weeks stay. Emotion Lake contains approximately 700 -800 carp to 65lb+, Koi carp 30lb and Grass Carp to 55lb. The carp grow big thanks to a rich natural foods supply. Over the years Emotion Lake has produced some impressive-looking mahogany coloured carp that wouldn’t look out of place in old English gravel pit. The carp are simply stunning.

Adventure Lake

Adventure Lake contains carp to 74lbs, Grass carp and Catfish to 100lb+ which is perfect for anglers who want to catch big fish. Adventure Lake is almost 50 acres in size, making it the largest venue on the complex, with 15 swims (5 doubles) and can comfortably accommodate 20 anglers per week. It’s a big carp water.

Capture Lake

Capture Lake is ideal for group of friends looking for a lake exclusive and to have a social. We feel Capture Lake lends itself to this perfectly. The lake is approximately 8 acres in size with 3 double swims that can comfortably accommodate 4-5 anglers. The stock of carp have a average weight of 18lb – 22lb up to 50lb.

Sauvage Lake

Sauvage Lake is ideal for group of friends looking for a lake exclusive and to have a social. We feel Sauvage Lake lends itself to this perfectly to medium sized groups of anglers. The lake is approximately 12 acres in size with double swims that can comfortably accommodate up to 6 anglers. The stock of carp have a average weight of 18lb – 22lb up to 50lb.

Information

Carp Social are taking bookings for this complex of carp fishing lakes located in France. The complex boasts 12 lakes located in the Northeastern region of France. Emotion Lake, Adventure Lake, Capture Lake and Sauvage Lake, Predator Lake, Lake Decouverte, Lake Sensation and Lake Exclusif can be booked on a drive and survive or lake exclusive basis.

Give yourself the possibility of catching a 70lb+ when you book with Carp Social as your ticket is transferable between a number of lakes on the complex. Swim choice is subject to availability. Lake Exclusive bookings and pre-booked swims may need to be considered prior to choosing the lake or swim. If in doubt, check with the the bailiff.

Facilities

Facilities on site include a basic toilet and shower block. An optional food package which includes breakfast and evening meals is available from €200 per person per week. The food package is ordered in advance and payment is made directly to the bailiff on arrival. The bailiff can also provide bait, rental of bicycles, rowing boats and outboard motors. Again, these services are to be ordered in advance and payment is made directly to the bailiff on arrival.

The lakes are approximately 4hrs 50 minutes drive from Calais.

Directions will be provided on conformation of booking.

Fishery Rules

Fishery Rules

  1. Arrival is on Saturday from 11:00 am (French Time).
  2. The draw for swims is on Saturday at 13:00 (French time).
  3. Swim choice is subject to availability. (Pre-booked swims and swim reservations may need to be considered prior to choosing your swim.) Does not apply to lake exclusive bookings.
  4. On the day of departure the swim must be vacated before 10:00am (French Time).
  5. Four rods per angler.
  6. No fixed leads.
  7. Micro-barb hooks only.
  8. Landing nets must have a minimum span of 100cm.
  9. Unhooking mat/cradles, weigh slings and carp care kit are mandatory and must be dry upon arrival.
  10. Fish over 50lb+ (22kg) to be photographed in the water.
  11. Retaining fish is not allowed.
  12. Rowing boats are allowed and a life jacket must be worn at all times.
  13. Bait boats are allowed.
  14. Particles are allowed with the exception of peanuts.
  15. Finely crushed tiger nuts are allowed as a loose feed.
  16. Whole tiger nuts can only be used but as a hookbait.
  17. BBQs are allowed, provided they are off the ground.
  18. Minimum 15lb breaking strain mainline, braid and nylon allowed.
  19. If using braided mainline then a minimum of 1m tubing, nylon shock leader or leadcore must be used to protect the fish during the fight.
  20. All rubbish to be taken home including cigarette butts and tea bags.
  21. Toilets and showers to be left in a good condition.
